Who does what
- Asset managers
- Run the fund. The manager stays the regulated party and keeps full responsibility for the portfolio, pricing and fund documentation.
- Professional investors
- Subscribe to and redeem fund units at net asset value, with each unit recorded as a token. Investor onboarding and order handling are carried out by appropriately licensed entities.
- Puerta Labs
- Builds the technology that connects the two: token logic, the investor interface, reporting, and integration with fund registers and custodians.
Where we start
We are starting with Spanish government debt and designing the format so it extends to other European sovereign issuers.
Units follow a fund's rolling portfolio of government bonds. Access is limited to professional investors.
